![]() The Flowers |
Planted from seed on 17 February 1998 HABIT: An upright grower with stiff stems. Good for providing shade for smaller plants. The flowers appear in late Winter/early Spring. CULTIVATION: It tends to be a Spring and Fall Grower. I have had to trim it a bit to keep it in bounds. Handles the full sun and is hardy to just below freezing. PROPAGATION: The seeds germinate quickly and easily but I've begun to suspect that Lampranthus does not germinate at a high percentage rate. |

![]() The Plant |
Planted from seed on 29 July 2000 HABIT: A small shrub that tends to flop a bit. Huge flowers appear in early Spring. CULTIVATION: Another Fall/Winter 'cool season' grower putting on most of it's growth when the season is not too hot or too cold. Does well in full sun and has not been damaged by light frosts. Trimming is necessary to grow it in smaller spaces. PROPAGATION: The seeds germinate quickly and easily but I've begun to suspect that Lampranthus does not germinate at a high percentage rate. |
