Field Trips
Catalina Island
November 13-14
We still have our plans for this field trip. Several people have made their hotel reservations. One group plans to leave on Friday & others will leave Saturday morning. There is still time to make arrangements to participate in this autumn activity.
The new ferry schedule is on line. The morning boats are @ 0710, 0850 & 1045. Reservations are suggested strongly, so we can decide when we want to get there, if we go together. 800 481-3470. Sunday returns seem to be @ 0845, 1030, 3:00 & 5:15PM.
I called the chamber of commerce. There are local cabs & trolleys that can take folks to the Botanical Garden, at a low fee. One can also walk there. The museum is in the Casino building. There is tour bus to the airport (and other places) We could call them I guess -- Discovery tours 310 510-2000, ext. #6. Maybe that is online too, most of it is.
